Islamabad: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is expected to resume construction of its apartment project in Sector G-13/1 in late July or early August, subject to final approval from the authority’s board.

Speaking to APP, FGEHA Director Staff Faiz Umar said the authority is currently implementing two apartment projects for government employees in Sector G-13.

He said construction work on the Kashmir Heights apartment project will resume on July 7, adding that all necessary arrangements have been completed.

Regarding the G-13/1 apartment project, Faiz Umar said the administrative and legal formalities, previously handled by M/s EHFPRO (Private) Limited, are in their final stages.

He expressed optimism that construction on the project would restart in late July or during the first week of August, following approval at the next meeting of the FGEHA Board.

According to the official, the revival of work on both apartment projects is expected to accelerate the provision of housing for government employees and facilitate the completion of projects that have remained stalled for several years.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has formally made its Investor Facilitation Cell (IFC) operational at its office in Sector G-13/14 to streamline investment-related matters.

According to an FGEHA spokesperson, the cell has been established within a record timeframe to ensure transparency, efficiency, and speed in the investment process while providing improved facilities for investors.
