ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Amir Maqam has declared a comprehensive initiative to hold the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) accountable for alleged corruption during its tenure in power.

This announcement was made during a press conference on Tuesday, where Muqam emphasized the need for transparency and justice in governance.

Muqam stated, “The people of Pakistan deserve to know how their resources were managed under the previous government.

We will ensure that those responsible for any misappropriation are brought to justice.” His remarks come amid ongoing political tensions and public demands for accountability from former government officials.

This move is seen as a significant step in the PML-N’s efforts to regain public trust and address the rampant corruption that has plagued the political landscape.

Analysts suggest that this initiative could reshape the political dynamics in Pakistan, potentially leading to increased scrutiny of PTI leaders and their financial dealings.

Looking ahead, Muqam indicated that a series of investigations will be launched, with the possibility of forming a special committee to oversee the accountability process.

The PML-N aims to present its findings to the public within the next few months, as the government seeks to reinforce its commitment to good governance and restore faith in political institutions.
