Cockroach Party Vows to Continue Protests Despite Arrests in Delhi

News Desk

NEW DELHI: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced its intention to continue protests in the Indian capital despite a severe crackdown by police that has resulted in the arrest of over 3,000 party members, including founder Abhijit Dupke.

The protests, which began earlier this week, are aimed at addressing various grievances against the government. CJP leaders have condemned the police’s actions, calling them an attempt to stifle dissent and suppress the voices of the people.

“We will not be silenced by these arrests; our fight for justice continues,” Dupke stated in a press conference following his release.

This ongoing unrest highlights the growing tensions between the government and opposition parties in India, raising concerns about civil liberties and the right to protest.

Analysts suggest that the government’s heavy-handed approach could backfire, galvanizing support for the CJP and other dissenting voices.

Looking ahead, the CJP plans to escalate its protests, with rallies and public meetings scheduled across the city in the coming days. The party is also calling for international attention to their plight, urging global human rights organizations to intervene.
