BISP Urges Immediate CNIC Renewal for Women Beneficiaries

ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has issued an urgent directive for all registered women beneficiaries across Pakistan to immediately renew their Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) to ensure uninterrupted financial assistance.
BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid announced the mandatory update on Wednesday, underlining the critical need for valid identification documents to prevent any suspension or delay in welfare disbursements under the flagship social safety net initiative.
According to the official guidelines, thousands of registered families risk facing temporary disruptions in their quarterly stipends if their identification records with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) remain outdated.
The administration has emphasized that accurate and current demographic data is vital for maintaining transparency, improving distribution efficiency, and eliminating administrative bottlenecks that often hinder marginalized women from accessing their rightful stipends.

Beneficiaries have been strongly advised to visit their nearest NADRA registration centers without delay to complete the renewal process.
