Addicted Man Allegedly Shoots Wife Dead

Peshawar: A woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband following a domestic dispute in the Old Sakhakot area of Dargai, Malakand district, Levies officials said on Sunday.

According to Levies, the suspect, who is reportedly addicted to crystal meth, commonly known as “ice,” opened fire on his wife during an argument, killing her on the spot.

Levies personnel and rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the victim’s body to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination and completion of legal formalities.

The accused fled immediately after the incident. Levies have launched a search operation and are conducting raids at various locations to arrest the suspect.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.

Motorway Police Rescue Two Kidnapped Siblings

Lahore: The Motorway Police safely recovered two kidnapped siblings near Sahiwal and reunited them with their family after taking timely action, officials said on Sunday.

According to Motorway Police spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed, a kidnapping case involving the missing children had been registered on June 26.

The children, identified as 12-year-old Ali Raza and his eight-year-old sister Maryam, were found crying alongside the National Highway near Sahiwal during routine patrol.

Motorway Police personnel immediately took the siblings into protective custody and contacted the police concerned. After completing the necessary legal formalities, the children were safely handed over to their family.

The spokesperson said the prompt response of the Motorway Police ensured the safe recovery of the siblings.
