Boy’s Father Kidnapped Over Shujaabad Marriage Row

Shujaabad: A dispute over an arranged marriage in Shujaabad has taken a serious turn after the boy’s father was allegedly kidnapped by the girl’s family and a police team sent to rescue him was reportedly attacked.
According to police, tensions escalated in the Sadar police station area when the family of a young woman allegedly abducted Shahid Langah, the father of a man involved in an arranged marriage with the woman.
Police said that Zahid, son of Shahid Langah, had entered into an arranged marriage agreement with Tanveer’s daughter, a move that reportedly angered the girl’s relatives.
Upon receiving information about the alleged kidnapping, a police team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) arrived at the scene. However, the situation quickly deteriorated.

According to police officials, the suspects threw chilli powder into the eyes of police personnel, including the SHO, took them hostage, and tore their uniforms during the confrontation.
Additional police teams from three police stations were later dispatched to the area. The reinforcements conducted an operation and successfully rescued the detained officers, including the SHO.
Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered against more than 20 individuals, including several women. Raids are currently underway to arrest those involved.
Authorities stated that legal action will be taken against all suspects in accordance with the law.
