Islamabad: Pakistani television host and actress Nadia Khan has come under criticism on social media after sharing a video of herself dancing with her son, Azaan, to a popular Bollywood song during a family mehndi ceremony.

The video, posted on Nadia Khan’s Instagram account, shows the mother-son duo performing to “Senorita” from the Bollywood film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Nadia is seen wearing a blue velvet farshi shalwar outfit, while her son is dressed in a black shalwar kameez with a light-colored shawl.

The clip quickly went viral, prompting mixed reactions online. Many users questioned the actress’s stance, pointing to her previous remarks in television appearances where she has often taken a strong nationalist position and criticized Indian entertainment content.

Several social media users accused Khan of adopting double standards, arguing that dancing to an Indian song contradicted her earlier views. Others defended the actress, saying personal celebrations and musical preferences should not be politicized.

The debate also attracted attention from Indian social media users, with some joining the online discussion through sarcastic comments.

Nadia Khan has not publicly responded to the criticism. However, the viral video has reignited discussions on social media about the balance between personal expression, entertainment choices and public expectations of celebrities.
