Dubai: Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed has climbed to second place in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings, overtaking India’s Varun Chakravarthy in the newly released player rankings.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Abrar moved up one position to No. 2 with 736 rating points, trailing only Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, who retained the top spot with 753 points.

Among other Pakistani bowlers, Mohammad Nawaz is ranked 12th, Salman Mirza 20th and Shaheen Shah Afridi 30th with 602 rating points. Spinner Usman Tariq remains 60th, while Sufyan Muqeem, Saim Ayub and Shadab Khan are ranked 68th, 71st and 73rd, respectively.

Fast bowler Haris Rauf is placed 89th with 448 rating points, while Abbas Afridi has climbed one place to 100th with 415 points.

In the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings, Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan retained third place with 848 rating points, making him the country’s highest-ranked T20I batter.

India’s Ishan Kishan reclaimed the No. 1 ranking after moving up one place, while fellow Indian batter Abhishek Sharma slipped to second.

Among other Pakistani batters, Saim Ayub is ranked 40th, Babar Azam 42nd and T20I captain Salman Ali Agha 44th. Left-handed opener Fakhar Zaman also climbed one place to 72nd with 481 rating points.

In the ICC Men’s T20I All-Rounder Rankings, Saim Ayub retained third place. Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza remained the top-ranked all-rounder, followed by India’s Hardik Pandya in second.

In the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings, India continues to lead the standings, followed by England in second and Australia in third. New Zealand is ranked fourth, South Africa fifth, while Pakistan occupies sixth place.

The latest ICC rankings reflect players’ and teams’ performances in international T20 cricket over the current ranking period.
