Rs8m stolen valuables recovered in Humak

Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested a suspected thief and recovered stolen gold jewellery, laptops, mobile phones and cash worth approximately Rs8 million during a swift operation in Humak.

According to a police official, Humak Police made the breakthrough on the directions of SSP (Operations) Qazi and SP Soan Zone.

A police team, headed by Humak Police Station SHO Inspector Habibullah, used modern technology and technical investigation methods to trace and apprehend the suspect, identified as Muhammad Rehan.

The arrest was made by ASI Raja Nisar Hasnain in connection with FIR No. 537/26, registered on September 2, 2026, under Sections 380, 457 and 411 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

Police said the recovered property included gold jewellery, laptops, mobile phones and cash, with a total estimated value of around Rs8 million.

The police official said technical resources proved instrumental in tracing the suspect and recovering the stolen valuables.

SSP (Operations) Qazi and SP Soan Zone appreciated the police team for successfully solving the case and directed officers to intensify operations against criminal elements.

ICT Police reiterated their commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens and taking strict action against those involved in criminal activities.
