Rescue 1122 boosts emergency cover for Eid Milad

Faisalabad: Rescue 1122 has strengthened its emergency response network across Faisalabad by deploying 17 ambulances, 39 motorcycle ambulances and eight fire and rescue vehicles during Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) celebrations.

The special deployment was aimed at reducing emergency response time and ensuring uninterrupted rescue and medical coverage along procession routes, at major gathering points and other sensitive locations across the district.

According to a Rescue 1122 spokesman, 135 rescue personnel and 42 trained volunteers were assigned special duties under the directions of District Emergency Officer Engineer Ehtesham Wahla.

The teams remained stationed at designated locations to respond promptly to medical emergencies, road accidents, fires and other untoward incidents during religious gatherings and processions.

Engineer Ehtesham Wahla said the emergency coverage plan had been designed to ensure that rescue teams could reach affected locations without delay.

He said providing timely and effective emergency services to citizens remained the foremost priority of Rescue 1122 Faisalabad, adding that all teams were kept fully alert throughout the celebrations.

The DEO also urged citizens to cooperate with rescue personnel, maintain discipline and keep procession routes clear for emergency vehicles.

He appealed to citizens to immediately contact Rescue 1122 in case of an emergency so that response teams could reach the affected location without unnecessary delay.
