Rawalpindi Police on High Alert to Ensure Security at Churches

Rawalpindi:Rawalpindi Police have tightened security arrangements at churches across the city on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani.
According to a police spokesperson, senior officers are present in the field to personally monitor security measures, while strict entry protocols, including thorough body searches, are being implemented at church entrances.
The spokesperson said all available resources are being utilized to maintain law and order and ensure the protection of minority rights and places of worship.
CPO Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani stated that visitors attending churches are being provided full security and treated with courtesy by police personnel.

He added that foolproof security arrangements have been put in place to maintain peace and safeguard the rights of the minority community.
Two suppliers held, 3.5kg drugs recovered
Police have intensified their operations against drug trafficking, resulting in the arrest of two drug suppliers and the recovery of more than 3.5 kilograms of drugs.
According to police spokesperson, Saddar Barooni Police apprehended a drug dealer and recovered 2.4 kg of drugs from his possession.
In a separate operation, RA Bazar Police detained another supplier and seized 1.4 kg of drugs.
Police have registered separate cases against both of them and further investigation was in progress.
Police officials stated that all possible measures are being taken to eliminate the menace of narcotics from society.
