LAHORE: In a swift regulatory intervention, the Punjab Drug Regulatory Authority has ordered an immediate nationwide halt on the usage, sale, and distribution of a widely prescribed medical injection following adverse laboratory findings.
The directive applies specifically to batches DDI132 and DDI133 of the 1ml Davidax injection, which failed standard quality and safety evaluations conducted by provincial health watchdogs.
According to the Directorate of Drugs Control, the decision was prompted by an alarming report issued by the Drug Testing Laboratory Punjab.
Officials stated that the implicated batches failed to meet the requisite pharmacological parameters, posing potential health hazards to patients.
Healthcare professionals, hospitals, and medical stores across the province have been instructed to quarantine the affected stock immediately and return it to suppliers to prevent any clinical complications.
