President, PM mourn martyrdom of Group Captain Asim Tariq

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Group Captain Asim Tariq.
In separate statements, the president and the prime minister prayed for the departed soul and extended their heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family.
President Zardari paid tribute to the martyred officer, saying that sacrificing one’s life to protect an innocent woman was a shining example of the highest human values and unwavering dedication to the nation.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Group Captain Asim Tariq, who lost his life while protecting the life and dignity of a woman.

In a statement, the prime minister paid tribute to the officer’s courage and devotion to duty, saying Group Captain Asim Tariq displayed exceptional bravery by sacrificing his life in the line of honour while protecting another person.
He said the nation would always remember and honour the sacrifices of such brave sons of Pakistan.
The prime minister also extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, saying the entire nation stood with them in their grief.
Praying for the departed soul, Shehbaz Sharif said, “May Almighty Allah elevate the ranks of the martyr, grant him the highest place in His eternal mercy, and bless the bereaved family with patience and strength to bear this irreparable loss.”
The prime minister directed the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice in accordance with the law.
