PPP Bilawal Defends Pakistan’s System, Highlights Tharparkar’s Growth

THARPARKAR: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Monday dismissed assertions that the country’s governance system has collapsed, citing the development of Tharparkar as evidence of its success.
Speaking at a ceremony to inaugurate Phase III of the Thar Coal Project’s Block II, Bilawal emphasized that the district’s progress exemplifies the effectiveness of the 1973 Constitution and the 18th Amendment.
Bilawal challenged critics who claim the system has failed, suggesting that they should allow the people of Tharparkar to take charge of Islamabad.
“If we accept this logic for a moment, it means that Islamabad has failed. Hand Islamabad over to the people of Tharparkar; they will fix it,” he stated, reinforcing his belief in local governance.
The PPP leader also criticized calls for the creation of new provinces and accused certain political factions of engaging in divisive politics.
Without naming specific parties, he referred to them as “political orphans” and condemned their rhetoric of hate and division. “I want to tell them that we will never let them succeed,” he asserted, highlighting the PPP’s commitment to unity and progress.
Bilawal’s remarks come at a time when political tensions are high in Pakistan, and his defense of the current system aims to rally support for the PPP’s agenda.
As the party continues to promote development projects in Tharparkar, it remains to be seen how these initiatives will influence the broader political landscape in the country.
