ISLAMABAD: In a major administrative overhaul aimed at modernizing law enforcement, the government has announced plans to distinctly separate police policy formulation from operational matters, senior officials confirmed on Thursday. The structural reform is designed to enhance institutional accountability, streamline departmental workflows, and improve overall public service delivery across the policing apparatus.

Addressing a high-level consultative session, official representative Shafi Jan emphasized that compartmentalizing strategic policy-making from day-to-day tactical operations will eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks.
