Pakistani Spider-Man Saree Steals London Spotlight

London: A Pakistani-crafted saree made a striking impression at the London premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, drawing attention for blending South Asian fashion with superhero-inspired design.
London-based Pakistani makeup artist and beauty creator Atifa Arshad wore a custom black saree featuring intricate red embroidery inspired by Spider-Man’s iconic web. The outfit’s dramatic web-shaped hem made it one of the most talked-about looks on the red carpet.
While the saree was designed by London-based designer Rita Qarnbach, it was stitched by Atifa Arshad’s longtime family tailor in Pakistan, highlighting Pakistani craftsmanship on an international stage.
The look also earned praise from renowned celebrity stylist Law Roach, known for styling actress Zendaya. Commenting on Atifa’s Instagram post, he described the outfit as “So pretty,” adding to the attention the ensemble received online.
Atifa paired the saree with a matching full-sleeved blouse, a sleek bun, and understated makeup to keep the spotlight on the outfit’s intricate detailing.
The film’s stars also embraced the Spider-Man theme through their fashion choices. Zendaya wore an ivory Tamara Ralph gown featuring a gold spider brooch, while Tom Holland accessorized his suit with a colorful spider-shaped pin.
Although many guests incorporated Spider-Man-inspired elements into their outfits, Atifa Arshad’s fusion of traditional Pakistani attire with Hollywood-inspired fashion emerged as one of the standout looks of the evening, earning admiration from fashion enthusiasts and social media users alike.
