Pakistan Welcomes Kuwait’s Defence Pact Ratification

Islamabad: Pakistan has welcomed Kuwait’s ratification of the defence cooperation agreement signed between the two countries in June 2023, describing the move as a significant step toward expanding their long-standing security partnership.

Responding to media queries on Wednesday, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said the agreement represents another milestone in the defence relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait, which dates back to the early 1980s.

He said the ratification demonstrates the shared commitment of both countries to enhance bilateral defence cooperation and further strengthen collaboration in the security sector.
