Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that two players have been ruled out of the upcoming One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia due to injuries.
In a statement, the board said both players are currently undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of the PCB medical panel and will continue their recovery programmes before returning to competitive cricket.
“Consequently, they have been ruled out of selection for the ODI series. The PCB wishes both players a speedy recovery and looks forward to seeing them return to competitive cricket at the earliest opportunity,” the statement read.

The PCB added that further updates regarding the squad and player fitness will be announced in due course.
Pakistan will host Australia in a three-match ODI series beginning on Saturday, May 30, with the opening fixture set to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The remaining two matches will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on June 2 and June 4.
All three games are scheduled to begin at 4:30pm local time.
The series marks Australia’s return to Pakistan for a bilateral ODI assignment since their 2022 tour, during which Pakistan claimed a 2-1 series victory.
Earlier this year, Australia also visited Pakistan for a T20I series held in January and February, where the hosts completed a dominant 3-0 clean sweep in Lahore.
