News Desk
ISLAMABAD:The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) commenced nationwide on Sunday, with thousands of aspiring medical and dental students appearing at designated testing centers across Pakistan and international venues. According to the examination authorities, the three-hour test began promptly at 10:00 AM and is scheduled to conclude at 1:00 PM, maintaining strict security and oversight to ensure a transparent testing environment.
Organized by regional testing services including the IBA Sukkur Testing Services (STS), the examination is being conducted across 34 designated domestic centers in major cities as well as international hubs, notably in Saudi Arabia. Elaborate arrangements have been put in place by educational boards and law enforcement agencies to facilitate candidates and prevent any irregularities during the high-stakes assessment.
The MDCAT serves as the singular gateway for admissions into public and private medical and dental institutions, carrying immense significance for students and their families who have spent months in rigorous academic preparation.
The massive logistical undertaking highlights the intense competition for medical seats in the country, where thousands of candidates vie for limited slots in prestigious healthcare institutions.
Following the conclusion of the test, official answer keys are expected to be released shortly by the respective testing authorities, allowing candidates to calculate their preliminary scores.
Subsequent merit lists and admission schedules will be announced by provincial health ministries and universities in the coming weeks to finalize placements for the new academic session.
