KP Govt Formed and Will Function Without JUI-F Chief: Kundi

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has strongly asserted that the provincial government was established without the backing of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, maintaining that the administration will continue to operate effectively without his political support.

Delivering a firm message to the political opposition, Kundi highlighted that the democratic framework within the province remains resilient and fully operational.

Addressing media representatives, the Governor stated that governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is driven by constitutional mandates rather than political bargaining, explicitly remarking that party leaderships outside the executive structure would not dictate the province’s political trajectory.

The statements underscore the deepening political rivalry in the north-western province, where opposition factions, religious leadership, and federal representatives are locked in public debates over administrative priorities and regional governance.

Analysts note that Kundi’s strong stance aims to defuse speculation regarding coalition instabilities and counter the leverage exerted by traditional political figures in regional policy matters.

Looking ahead, political observers anticipate increased legislative activity as the provincial leadership prepares for crucial assembly sessions regarding local development projects and security measures.

The coming weeks will test the political dynamic in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and determine how opposition parties adjust their strategic posture in response to the governor’s firm position.
