Houthi Attacks Injure 13 in Several Saudi Cities

Yemen: Thirteen people were injured after Yemen’s Houthi militia launched missile and drone attacks targeting several cities in Saudi Arabia, officials said.
According to Arab News, the Iran-backed group carried out attacks on civilian areas in Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif on Monday using ballistic missiles and drones.
Coalition Forces spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki said 13 civilians were injured in the attacks, while seven houses and two vehicles were damaged.
Saudi authorities had earlier issued alerts over potential threats to four southern cities — Najran, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Abha. The alerts were later withdrawn.
Saudi Civil Defense subsequently issued multiple warnings for areas in the western and southern parts of the Kingdom, including Abha, Jeddah, Jazan, Taif, Yanbu and Al-Ula.
Al-Maliki accused the Houthi militia of continuing deliberate attacks against Saudi cities and civilian infrastructure, saying the attacks reflected an effort to escalate tensions and target civilians.
He said the Coalition Forces would respond firmly while protecting Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, citizens and civilian infrastructure. Any response, he added, would be carried out in accordance with international law, including the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, while observing humanitarian law.
The spokesman said coalition forces would take necessary operational measures to deter the Houthis and counter what he described as their hostile and extremist activities.
The latest attacks come amid a series of incidents targeting Saudi Arabia. Last week, around 70 people, including women and children, were reportedly injured in Houthi attacks across different parts of the Kingdom.
On Friday, Saudi Arabia temporarily suspended operations on the East-West Pipeline after multiple drone attacks targeted areas in Riyadh and Medina.
Gulf countries and Islamic organizations condemned the attacks on the pipeline and expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
