The ceremony was widely seen as a reflection of professionalism, mutual respect, and institutional harmony within the force. Officials noted that such a formal and cordial handover is rare in the department’s history, particularly at the level of Chief Traffic Officer.

The appointment of Kainat Azhar Khan also carries symbolic significance in a traditionally male-dominated law enforcement environment, highlighting the growing representation of women in senior policing roles.

Officials and observers described her elevation as a positive step toward greater gender inclusion in Pakistan’s policing institutions, especially in leadership positions where women have historically been underrepresented.

The event concluded with hopes that the new CTO would continue efforts to improve traffic management, discipline, and public facilitation in the federal capital while setting new benchmarks of leadership within the force.
