Rescue teams immediately rushed to the scene after being alerted and managed to bring the fire under control. All six injured individuals were shifted to hospital for medical treatment.

A Rescue 1122 spokesperson said initial reports suggest the explosion may have been caused by a gas leak, although further investigation is underway to determine the exact nature of the incident.

Police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chota Lahore area have arrested three individuals for allegedly selling a 12-year-old girl and arranging her marriage after receiving payment, officials said on Thursday.

According to police, the victim, identified as Saniya, was allegedly sold by her biological mother and grandfather to a man from Punjab for Rs50,000.

Investigators said the mother, grandfather and the buyer have all been taken into custody. Initial findings suggest that after receiving the money, the suspects also arranged the minor girl’s marriage.
