HEC Warns Citizens Against Fraudulent Agents Misusing Doc Verification

ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has issued a warning to citizens about fraudulent agents deceiving individuals under the guise of educational document verification.

The commission urged the public to refrain from sharing personal and academic information with unauthorized individuals.

In a statement released on Monday, the HEC emphasized the importance of safeguarding personal data, particularly in light of rising incidents of scams targeting students and job seekers.

“We advise everyone to verify the credentials of any agent before engaging in document verification services,” said an HEC spokesperson.

This warning comes at a time when the demand for educational document verification is increasing, particularly among those seeking employment or further education abroad.

The misuse of such services not only jeopardizes individual security but also undermines the integrity of the educational system.

The HEC plans to enhance public awareness campaigns and collaborate with law enforcement agencies to combat these fraudulent activities. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious agents to the authorities to help curb this growing issue.
