ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced an increase in loan limits for the ‘Prime Minister Youth Business and Agriculture Loan’ scheme aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs.
This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on November 8, 2026.
According to a statement released from the Prime Minister’s House, the initiative seeks to provide greater financial support to the youth, enabling them to start and expand their businesses in various sectors, including agriculture.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of fostering entrepreneurship among young people as a means to stimulate economic growth and job creation.
This enhancement in the loan scheme is expected to have significant implications for the youth of Pakistan, particularly in rural areas where access to financial resources has been a longstanding challenge.
By increasing the loan limits, the government aims to encourage more young individuals to engage in business activities, thereby contributing to the overall economic development of the country.
Looking ahead, the government plans to monitor the implementation of this scheme closely and may introduce additional measures to further support young entrepreneurs.
Stakeholders are encouraged to participate in upcoming consultations to ensure the scheme meets the needs of the youth effectively.
