Gold Prices Dip Across Pakistan

News Desk
KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a downward trend on the first business day of the week, providing a slight respite to domestic buyers amid ongoing economic fluctuations.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of per tola gold registered a notable decrease of Rs 2,700, settling at Rs 457,536 across local bullion markets.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of the precious metal experienced a downward revision, dropping by Rs 2,315 to reach Rs 392,263.
Market analysts attribute these fluctuations to corresponding shifts in international bullion rates and local currency valuations against the US dollar, which heavily dictate domestic pricing trends for precious metals.
The continuous volatility in the bullion market directly impacts domestic investors and citizens looking to purchase gold for weddings and long-term savings.
While a decrease offers temporary relief to retail buyers, financial experts advise caution, noting that geopolitical tensions and global inflation rates can trigger sudden reversals in commodity markets.
Market participants and jewellery associations will continue monitoring international trends closely in the coming days to anticipate further market movements. Stakeholders expect domestic rates to remain sensitive to global economic indicators as the business week progresses.
