Fire Erupts in Tezgam Express Near Khanewal

Khanewal: A fire broke out in the power van of the Tezgam Express traveling from Karachi to Rawalpindi near Khanewal, prompting an emergency response from rescue teams, railway officials said on Tuesday.
According to a Pakistan Railways spokesperson, the fire suddenly erupted in the train’s power van during the journey. Railway staff immediately detached the affected van from the train to prevent the flames from spreading to other coaches.
The fire quickly engulfed the entire power van. Rescue personnel reached the scene after receiving information and managed to bring the blaze under control.

Following the incident, the Tezgam Express resumed its journey and was dispatched toward Rawalpindi.
Pakistan Railways Chairman has constituted a three-member committee to investigate the cause of the fire. The committee has been directed to submit its report within seven days.
Six Children Killed in Shangla Tragedy
At least six children were killed after the roof of a mud house collapsed in the Rahimabad Bassi area of Shangla.
According to rescue officials, the incident occurred late at night when the roof suddenly caved in, burying the children under the rubble.
The deceased included four girls and two boys aged between four and 15 years. Rescue teams recovered the bodies from the debris.
Authorities have launched further investigation into the incident.
