Father Dies Saving Son in Tragic Nullah Leh Incident

Rawalpindi: A desperate attempt to save his child turned into a heartbreaking tragedy in Rawalpindi after a father lost his life while trying to rescue his son who fell into the swollen Nullah Leh.
The incident occurred in Gulistan Colony’s Line No. 3, where the child accidentally slipped into the fast-flowing drain. Witnesses said the father immediately jumped into the water in an attempt to save him, but the strong current swept both of them away.
Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call and launched a water rescue operation. During the search, rescuers recovered the father’s body from the drain, while efforts continued to locate the missing child.
Officials said specialized water rescue teams were using available resources to trace the child and would continue the operation until the search was completed.
The tragedy has once again highlighted the dangers posed by swollen urban waterways during heavy rains, as authorities continue rescue efforts amid difficult conditions.
