Islamabad: The federal government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs5.45 per litre while increasing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.68 per litre for November 4, 2026.
The Petroleum Division has issued a notification announcing the revised prices, following recommendations by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) under the government’s prescribed pricing mechanism.
According to the notification, the petrol price has been reduced from Rs374.51 to Rs369.06 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased from Rs395.20 to Rs398.88 per litre.
The revised prices came into effect at midnight and will remain applicable until November 4, 2026.
The Petroleum Division said the latest adjustments were made in line with fluctuations in international oil markets, petroleum product rates, premiums and other associated costs.
According to the available figures, petrol prices have been reduced 32 times and increased 39 times since July 17. During the same period, high-speed diesel prices have witnessed 27 reductions and 46 increases.
A day earlier, on November 3, the government had reduced petrol prices by Rs3.40 per litre and diesel prices by Rs7.76 per litre, bringing petrol to Rs374.51 and high-speed diesel to Rs395.20 per litre.
Earlier, on October 30, the government had maintained petrol prices at Rs377.91 per litre for October 31 to November 2, while increasing the price of high-speed diesel by Rs2.29 to Rs402.96 per litre.
The government has been reviewing petroleum prices daily amid the ongoing Middle East crisis, although rates generally remain unchanged on Saturdays and Sundays.
In a separate relief measure, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on September 13 a subsidy of Rs100 per litre for motorcycle, rickshaw, Qingqi and car owners with engines of up to 800cc to ease the burden of persistently high fuel costs.
