Earthquake of 4.6 Magnitude Jolts Balochistan’s Kalat

Kalat: Mild to moderate earthquake tremors were felt in Kalat district of Balochistan on Wednesday, causing panic among residents.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 4.6 on the Richter scale. The tremor occurred at a depth of 25 kilometers beneath the surface.
The epicenter of the quake was located approximately 27 kilometers southeast of Kalat, the Seismological Center confirmed.
No immediate reports of casualties or property damage have been received so far. Authorities are monitoring the situation.
Residents said they rushed out of their homes in fear as the tremors were felt across the area.

Few days earlier, strong tremors were felt across several cities in Punjab and parts of the twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Tuesday after an earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck the region, causing panic among residents.
According to reports, tremors were experienced in Lahore, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhelum, Okara, Sheikhupura, Phalia, Malikwal, and Depalpur, as well as surrounding areas.
The Seismological Center confirmed that the earthquake had a depth of 18 kilometers, with its epicenter located in Gujranwala.
Following the tremors, residents rushed out of homes and offices reciting prayers amid fear and panic. However, no immediate reports of casualties or property damage have been received.
