Dar Advocates Dialogue to Alleviate Middle East Tensions

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized the critical need for dialogue and diplomacy to mitigate escalating tensions in the Middle East during a meeting with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott on Saturday.
In their discussions in Islamabad, both officials acknowledged the positive momentum in bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
The Foreign Office highlighted that Dar reiterated the importance of diplomatic efforts, stating that dialogue remains the only viable path forward to address the ongoing conflicts in the region.
High Commissioner Marriott expressed optimism regarding the strengthening ties between the two nations, which could lead to enhanced cooperation on various fronts, including trade and security.
The meeting underscores Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in international diplomacy, particularly in volatile regions.
Looking ahead, Dar also chaired an inter-ministerial meeting to prepare for the upcoming third session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission, indicating a broader strategy to foster international partnerships and collaborative efforts.
