LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially launched five major road projects under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Authority. The digital inauguration took place on Tuesday, marking a new chapter in the province’s approach to road management.

During the launch, the chief minister emphasized the importance of involving the private sector in managing these key roadways, which are expected to improve connectivity and boost economic activity in the region.

“This initiative will not only streamline road management but also ensure better maintenance and service delivery for the citizens of Punjab,” she stated.

The decision to hand over the management of these roads to private entities is seen as a strategic move to alleviate the financial burden on the provincial government while enhancing the quality of infrastructure.

Experts believe that this partnership could lead to improved road conditions, reduced traffic congestion, and increased safety for commuters.

Looking ahead, the government plans to monitor the progress of these projects closely, with regular updates expected in the coming months.

The success of this initiative could pave the way for further collaborations between the public and private sectors in other areas of infrastructure development across Punjab.

“This initiative will not only streamline road management but also ensure better maintenance and service delivery for the citizens of Punjab,” she stated.
