Woman Found Dead With Hands Tied in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: Police have arrested a woman’s husband and his employee after she was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her home in the Lal Kurti area, with her family alleging that she had been subjected to violence before her death.
The incident was reported within the jurisdiction of the Civil Lines police station, where police recovered the body of Hina from the bathroom of the house.
According to the complainant, Hina’s hands were tied behind her back and a cloth had been placed over her mouth when her body was discovered. Her family alleged that the circumstances indicated an attempt to portray the killing as suicide.
Police have arrested the deceased’s husband, Faisal Asghar, and his employee, Zeeshan, in connection with the case. The victim’s family has also sought the arrest of her father-in-law, Asghar Ali, who has reportedly been nominated in the case but has not yet been arrested.
The victim’s brother told police that his sister had allegedly faced domestic violence from her husband in the past. He further alleged that Faisal had married Hina after separating from his first wife.
The victim had been married for around nine months before her death.
Police said Hina’s postmortem examination has been completed and its report is awaited. Investigators have also collected evidence from the crime scene and are examining the incident from different angles.
The case has raised questions about the circumstances surrounding Hina’s death, while her family has called for the arrest of all nominated suspects and demanded that the investigation be conducted transparently.
The family has appealed to Punjab Police to ensure that all legal requirements are fulfilled and that those responsible are brought to justice.
