WhatsApp Introduces Feature for Two Numbers on One App

Islamabad: WhatsApp, the world’s largest instant messaging application, has introduced a feature enabling users to operate accounts with two different numbers within the same application.

The testing phase for this feature began in August 2023, aiming to allow multiple accounts with distinct numbers on a single app.

However, the company has now rolled out the functionality of running accounts with only two different numbers under this feature.

This implies that users can now manage both of their WhatsApp numbers within the same application without the need for an additional mobile device or a separate WhatsApp application. To activate two WhatsApp accounts on the same app, users must navigate to their main account settings, click on “Accounts,” and add a new account.

As of now, this new feature is exclusively available on WhatsApp Mobile, with plans for potential expansion to WhatsApp Business. Desktop users will not have immediate access to viewing both accounts within the same application.
