Victim of Poverty: Elderly Woman Died At Jatoe Free Flour Point

Muzaffargarh: A senior citizen woman allegedly lost her life during a struggle for free flour in the tehsil Jatoe of Muzaffargarh district.
According to Rescue 1122, the woman’s, namely Zahra Bibi, health deteriorated as a result of the massive crowd at the Moon Marriage Hall’s free flour point.
Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi constituted a special team to conduct an inquiry into the incident.
The DC paid a meaningful condolence visit to the deceased woman’s home as well. He promised that individuals who showed signs of sluggishness would face stern punishment.

Agha Zaheer gave the concerned assistant commissioner instructions to make arrangements so that there wouldn’t be a large crowd blocking the supply of flour.
In another incident, a man who went to get free flour bags died of a heart attack in the Notak area of Bhakkar. Earlier, on March 21, a man had died in Faisalabad while trying to get flour. Similar incidents were reported in Charsadda and Bannu, where two people lost their lives in such accidents.
