Takhayal Adbi Forum Hosts Enthralling Mushaira on Iqbal Day

Riyadh: Takhayal Adbi Forum Riyadh organized a ‘mushaira’ to commemorate ‘Iqbal Day’ on Thursday.

General Secretary Rashid Mehmood orchestrated the proceedings, and renowned poets captivated the audience with their eloquent verses, earning well-deserved applause.

Qasim Ali Shah, a distinguished guest from Pakistan, contributed to the ceremony, emphasizing the essence of Takhayal Adbi Forum.

Speakers at the forum said the Takhayal Adbi Forum has been pivotal in promoting literature in Saudi Arabia, particularly in Riyadh. They garnered admiration for its commendable efforts.

Literary luminaries such as Mansoor Mehboob Chaudhry, Saleem Kawish, Shahid Khyalavi, Saber Amani, Pir Asad, Kamal Manzar, Hamdani, Kamran Malik, and a host of other distinguished poets graced the occasion, embellishing the event with their profound and diverse poetic masterpieces.

The Department of Middle East and South Asia at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University recently hosted a special event titled “Iqbal’s Readings” to commemorate Allama Muhammad Iqbal Day.

The event was attended by prominent figures, including Rizwana Qazi, the Consul of Pakistan to Kazakhstan, and Walid Iqbal, the grandson of the renowned philosopher-poet.

Other distinguished guests included Dr Abdul Iqbal Rafiqui, Director of the Iqbal Academy, and Muhammad Murtaza Noor, National Coordinator of the Inter University Consortium for the Promotion of Social Sciences, Pakistan.

Dr Em Natalia Borisovna, Dean of the Oriental Studies Faculty at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, extended a warm welcome to the attendees.
