Somali Police Recover Hijacked Oil Tanker MT Honour 25

MOGADISHU: Somali maritime police announced on Tuesday the successful recovery of the oil tanker MT Honour 25, which was hijacked by armed pirates off the coast of Puntland on April 21, 2026.
The vessel, flagged under Palau, had 17 crew members aboard, including 10 Pakistani nationals.
The Puntland Maritime Police Force executed a meticulously planned operation in the Dharin-Bar area of Bandar Beyla district, leading to the recovery of the tanker.
In an official statement, police highlighted the collaboration between naval and ground units in the operation, underscoring their commitment to combating piracy in the region.
