Scattered Rain, Gutsy Winds For Most Parts of KP: RMC

Peshawar: The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) Peshawar has predicted scattered rain and thunderstorm with gusty winds in Swat, Chitral, Lower and Upper Dir, Shangla, Buner, Malakand,  Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mohmand, Bajaur, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Peshawar, Khyber, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram and Abbottabad districts.

RMC stated that the districts of Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Orakzai, DI Khan, and North and South Waziristan are likely to see isolated rain-thunderstorms with strong winds. The majority of the province’s districts experienced partly cloudy to cloudy weather throughout the past 24 hours, however D. I. Khan, Bannu, Bajaur, Kohat, Kakul, Cherat, Khyber, and Mohmand districts experienced isolated rain-thunderstorms.

Rain recorded in (mm) at different stations: D. I Khan 24, Bannu & Cherat 09 (each), Pashat (Bajaur) 08, Ghalanai 06, Kohat 05, Kakul, Tirah (Khyber) & Parachinar 01 (each) and Khaar (Bajaur) Trace.

Residents living around waterways were informed about the weather conditions and asked to contact the following numbers in case of an emergency: District Control Room, Abbottabad: 09929310553; Rescue Emergency Services: 1122; and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Helpline No. 1700.
