ISLAMABAD: Religious scholars and leaders from various faiths have come together to support a decree condemning terrorism, suicide attacks, and extremism, fully endorsing the national narrative of Paigham-i-Pakistan.

This declaration was made during a joint meeting organized by the National Paigham-i-Amn Committee and the Balochistan Provincial Paigham-i-Amn Committee at Jamia Salafia Dawat-ul-Haq.

The meeting, chaired by Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, emphasized that suicide attacks and the killing of innocent individuals are strictly forbidden in Islam.

Participants asserted that no individual or group is entitled to resort to violence against the state or take the law into their own hands under the guise of religion, sect, or ideology.

They condemned the exploitation of vulnerable groups, including women and children, for terrorist activities, labeling such acts as both religiously forbidden and crimes against humanity.

This collective stance by religious leaders is significant in reinforcing the national security narrative and promoting peace within the country.

It sends a strong message against the misuse of religion for violent purposes and aims to unite various communities against extremism, fostering a more harmonious society.

Looking ahead, the participants expressed their support for national security institutions in their ongoing fight against terrorism. Future meetings are expected to further solidify this coalition and develop strategies to combat extremism effectively.
