Hailstorm Predicted For Balochistan

Quetta: The Met Office on Thursday issued a 24-hour rain, wind, and thunderstorm/hailstorm forecast for the respective areas of Balochistan, with isolated moderate to heavy rains.

Rain wind thunderstorm, hailstorm are likely to occur in Surab, Bolan, Mastung, Kalat, Khuzdar, Sibi, Kharan, Nushki, Chaghi,Harnai, Jafarabad, Nasirabad, Sohbatpur, Jhalmagsi, Quetta, Pishin, Ziarat, Qilla Saifullah, Killa Abdullah, Zhob, Loralai, Sherani, Barkhan, Kohlu and surroundings; while the rest of the province should expect cloudy with light rain, and light snow in Ziarat and Killa Saifullah’s hilly regions.

The Met Office informed that the minimum temperature in Quetta was recorded at -9.0°Cand 3.0°Cin Ziarat on Thursday.  All relevant authorities are urged to maintain their vigilance during the rainy period.
