Islamabad: Heavy rainfall has disrupted traffic flow in various parts of the federal capital, prompting the Islamabad Police to issue a public advisory urging citizens to adopt precautionary measures.
According to the spokesperson, motorists are advised to use fog lights during rain and reduce speed to avoid accidents. Drivers of both vehicles and motorcycles have been strictly urged to adhere to their lanes and ensure the use of side mirrors and indicators while traveling.
Motorcycle riders, in particular, have been directed to drive cautiously in the extreme left lane to maintain smooth traffic flow and reduce risks on slippery roads.

Water Accumulation Affects Traffic at Key Islamabad Points
Traffic movement has been significantly affected at key locations in Islamabad due to rainwater accumulation and ongoing development work, the Islamabad Police spokesperson said.
The affected areas include Faizabad Skyway (Ada Side) and Taramri Chowk, where waterlogging has slowed down the flow of vehicles. Additionally, traffic disruption has been reported due to construction work at the Park Road Underpass.
Authorities have urged citizens to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra travel time to avoid inconvenience.
