Pakistan Gold Prices Surge to Record Highs Amid Market Volatility
KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a substantial upward revision on Tuesday, registering a sharp increase of Rs 6,900 per tola as domestic bullion markets reacted to shifting economic indicators and international market trends.
According to the latest data released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA), the price of per tola gold escalated to Rs 460,336. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of the precious metal surged by Rs 5,914, settling at Rs 394,000.
This aggressive upward movement underscores the persistent economic pressures and currency fluctuations impacting domestic purchasing power. Precious metals continue to serve as a primary hedge against inflation for local investors seeking stability amidst broader macroeconomic uncertainties.
Market analysts expect bullion rates to remain volatile in the coming sessions, closely tracking global geopolitical developments, US dollar index movements, and domestic monetary policy adjustments by the central bank.
