Islamabad: OPPO is preparing to launch a new smartphone that could bring a major upgrade in battery performance to the mid-range market. The company has confirmed that the OPPO A7 Pro Max will be unveiled in China on August 4, featuring a massive 10,000mAh battery.
The upcoming smartphone will become OPPO’s first device with such a large battery capacity, targeting users who demand longer usage time for gaming, streaming, and daily tasks without frequent charging.
The OPPO A7 Pro Max will be part of the company’s A7 series and is expected to compete in the growing segment of smartphones focused on extended battery life.
According to the official listing, the phone will be available in three colour options: black, orange, and blue. It will reportedly come in three storage variants, including 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.
Ahead of the official launch, images of the device have revealed a redesigned camera module and a plastic frame design. While OPPO has not yet announced the complete specifications, leaks and benchmark listings have provided details about the expected hardware.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, it may include a 50-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens.
Under the hood, the OPPO A7 Pro Max is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset. Despite carrying a large battery, reports suggest the device will maintain a relatively slim design, measuring around 8.47mm in thickness and weighing approximately 226 grams.
The phone is also expected to support 80W fast charging, allowing users to recharge its large battery more quickly.
OPPO is likely to announce the official price, availability, and full specifications during the launch event on August 4. With battery life becoming an increasingly important factor for smartphone buyers, the A7 Pro Max could strengthen OPPO’s position in the competitive mid-range smartphone market.
