New Petrol, Diesel Prices Announced for August 13

Islamabad: The federal government has revised petroleum product prices, bringing a marginal reduction in petrol prices while increasing the cost of high-speed diesel.
According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been cut by 94 paise per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs 324.98 per litre.
In contrast, high-speed diesel has become 54 paise more expensive per litre, with its price rising to Rs 382.79 per litre.
The revised prices will take effect from midnight and remain applicable on August 13 under the government’s updated petroleum pricing mechanism.
The government has introduced daily revisions in petroleum prices in view of the prevailing situation in the Middle East. However, prices are not revised on Saturdays and Sundays and remain unchanged over the weekend.
OGRA issued the latest ex-depot prices in accordance with the federal government’s revised petroleum pricing mechanism.
