Nadeem Chan Stresses RTI for Good Governance

ISLAMABAD: Information access remains a fundamental prerequisite for ensuring absolute transparency, institutional accountability, and active public participation in national affairs, political leader Nadeem Afzal Chan stated on Friday.
Highlighting the critical need for open governance, he emphasized that democratic systems cannot function effectively without empowering citizens through unhindered access to public records.
Addressing a gathering on governance reforms, Chan maintained that systemic corruption and administrative inertia can only be eradicated when information flows freely between the state and the public.
He pointed out that modern democracies rely heavily on digitized data sharing and proactive disclosure policies to bridge the trust deficit between state institutions and the common citizenry.
