Mustafa Kamal Alleges Systematic Hatred Inserted in Sindhi Youth

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) senior leader Syed Mustafa Kamal has alleged that a deliberate campaign is underway to instill feelings of animosity and hatred into the minds of Sindhi youth against other communities.
Addressing a public gathering in Karachi, the former mayor warned that such polarizing tactics threaten the long-standing social fabric, peace, and fraternal harmony among residents of the province.
Kamal asserted that vested political interests are exploiting ethnic fault lines for narrow electoral gains, distracting citizens from pressing socio-economic challenges such as unemployment, poor infrastructure, and lack of basic civic amenities. He emphasized that the residents of Sindh, regardless of their linguistic or ethnic backgrounds, have historically coexisted peacefully and share a collective destiny that requires cooperation rather than division.
Political analysts note that such rhetoric highlights the persistent ethnic sensitivities in urban and rural Sindh, where governance issues frequently take an ethnic turn.
The remarks come at a sensitive time when political parties are recalibrating their strategies for upcoming local and national political maneuvering, making social cohesion a critical and debated agenda item across the province.
Civil society organizations and political stakeholders have called upon leaders from all factions to exercise restraint and promote inclusive narratives.
Further political responses and policy debates are expected in the coming days as parties react to Kamal’s sharp remarks regarding provincial harmony and political manipulation.
