Murree Covered in Fog, Police Issue Travel Alert

Murree: Thick fog has disrupted normal life in Murree and surrounding areas, reducing visibility on major roads and slowing down traffic as authorities step up safety measures to prevent accidents.
The dense fog has created challenging driving conditions on key routes, with motorists facing delays due to limited visibility. In response, Murree Police have intensified traffic management operations and deployed personnel across major arteries to assist commuters and tourists.
District Police Officer (DPO) Murree Dr Muhammad Raza Tanveer said police teams and traffic wardens were placed on high alert to facilitate road users and manage traffic flow during the adverse weather conditions.
The DPO personally visited several highways to review arrangements and supervise the implementation of the traffic management plan aimed at preventing congestion and ensuring public safety.
Authorities have advised residents and visitors to avoid unnecessary travel, drive at reduced speeds, use fog lights and strictly follow traffic regulations while travelling in the hill station.
Officials warned that the combination of heavy fog and reduced visibility could increase the risk of accidents, urging tourists to remain cautious until weather conditions improve.
