MPA Abdul Karim Brother, Guards Allegedly Kidnapped in Swabi
News Desk
SWABI: A brother of former adviser to the chief minister on industry and MPA Abdul Karim Tordher was allegedly kidnapped along with three guards by masked men from his residence in Tordher village, Chota Lahor tehsil, early Wednesday morning.
The police have refrained from commenting on the incident, which has raised significant concerns among local residents. Family members of the lawmaker assert that the kidnappers arrived at the residence in separate vehicles, suggesting a premeditated operation.
They have linked the abduction to the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party’s ongoing march towards Islamabad, alleging that it is an act orchestrated by the federal government to intimidate PTI leadership.
This incident occurs just two days before the PTI caravan is set to reach Khairabad Bridge, a critical juncture between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, where preparations for the protest march are reportedly in full swing.
PTI leaders have expressed that the primary aim of the abduction is to undermine the party’s mobilization efforts and instill fear among its supporters.
The family claims the kidnapping took place between 2 AM and 3 AM, and they are demanding immediate action from authorities. As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the PTI will respond and what measures will be taken by law enforcement to address this alarming development.
