Man Arrested for Assaulting Five-Year-Old Boy in Charsadda

CHARSADDA: Police have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting a five-year-old boy in the Station Kallay area of Tangi on Friday.
The incident has raised serious concerns regarding child safety in the region.
According to the first information report (FIR), the child’s mother reported that her son returned home in tears, claiming that a neighbor, identified as Hussainullah, had assaulted him.
The child also alleged that the suspect threatened him with dire consequences if he revealed the incident to anyone.
This disturbing case highlights ongoing issues of child protection in Pakistan, prompting calls for stricter enforcement of laws designed to safeguard minors.
The community is left questioning the safety measures in place to protect children from such heinous acts.
Following the complaint, police registered the FIR under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 53 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Child Protection and Welfare Act, 2010.
The child has been taken to Tangi Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for a medical examination, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the allegations.
