KP CM Afridi Condemns Aleema’s Arrest As Political Vengeance

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has strongly condemned the recent arrest of Aleema Khan, the sister of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, terming the police action as a clear act of political victimization and an assault on democratic norms.
Reacting sharply to the high-profile detention, CM Afridi stated that the manner in which the arrest was executed reflects a blatant disregard for the sanctity of “chadar and chaar diwaari” (privacy of the home).
He asserted that state machinery is being weaponized to suppress political dissent and silence the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) through intimidation tactics.
